Note that fish are very sensitive and special. Therefore, it is recommended not to use soap or daily cleaning products to remove dirt from the tank. This can cause health problems for the fish so be very careful.

There are special pumps placed inside the tanks which help maintain quality of the water. What they do is change the water steadily: removing dirty water and introducing clean water. It is recommended to use them once a week when the water starts to become dirty.

There is also the option of putting cleaner fish in the tank. These are special fish that keep the tank clean, and get rid of all debris and dirt that accumulates in it. Before doing so make sure that they are compatible with the species of fish that you already have in your tank.

Be aware of algae that can accumulate on the walls of the tank and the devices you have inside. We recommend that once a week, you use a scraper that will help to end this growing problem. Do not apply any soap or gel, because as we have clarified above, it can affect your fish.

It is very important that you spend part of the cleaning concentrating on your fish tank filter. You should clean it every 15 days, avoiding doing so while you clean the rest of your fish tank, because doing it all at once is not advisable. Clean it and remove all the accumulated dirt that does not let the water stay clean. In a specialised center they will give you the right tools, in addition to the biological supports to perform this task.

Make sure you don't use tap water as this has components that could be harmful for your fish!

The gravel should also be cleaned as it accumulates all the stool and exess food. Use a gravel vaccum to get rid of the dirt. Make sure to add the syphon stocking if you have smaller fish that could get vacuumed.
